This deck was an extension and update. To start - new footings were set down the side because the original footings were set outside the house line and were visible from the sidewalk in front of the house. New footings were also set in the back of the house as to accommodate for the 2 foot extension as well as widening the span to avoid obstructing the view of the sliding doors. Invisirail glass deck railing was installed to clear the view overlooking the pond and forest.

Back yard 6 foot privacy fence with louver system on top.

This small deck in Vaughan was built using cedar posts, and cedar 2x6 deck boards. The original deck came with the house and was very poorly built. The homeowner decided to tear it down and make the new one a few feet bigger using cedar for appearance, and glass railing from Invisirail so there are no obstructions of the beautiful pond view.

Large Party Deck
This large deck was designed for entertaining. The homeowners have a large family and wanted their deck to be functional while accomodating everyone. The structure of the deck was built using pressure treated lumber, while the surface of the deck was done using two different colours of Gossen PVC decking. The homowners decided to use a herringbone design on the main deck surrounded by a lighter coloured border. All posts and pergola were built out of cedar. Beneath the pergola will be the designated BBQ area. Railings were also done in cedar and Deckorators architectural balusters. Three different types of lighting were used on this deck - Aurora LED post caps, Aurora LED stair tread strip lights, as well as Aurora LED recessed riser lights. A shingled, cedar gazebo was built to cover the hot tub which is surrounded by glass from Invisirail.

Lake simcoe PVC deck
This deck was was built with two things in mind - preserve the awesome waterfront view, and provide enough space for a patio dinning set and entertaining. This 550 square foot deck has accomplished both. Frameless glass railing at the front of the deck allows for nearly no obstruction of the view. Brown PVC decking by Gossen looks like hardwood floor and will be nearly maintenance free, only needing a hose down at the beginning of the year.
The nature lovers deck
This deck is a great example of how you can incorporate your natural landscape into your deck plan. On the right is the pergola with the tree that will grow overtop to provide shade. On the left you have a tree growing right through the deck. Plenty of spce was left so as the tree grows in diameter the decking can easily be cut back as required.
At over 700 square feet there is plenty of room for entertaining and lounging.
